Library Director

Meet Laura Hopper, our library director.

Laura Hopper has been the librarian at Schroeder Public Library since 2001. She became the library director in February of 2016. She received her Librarian's Certification from the State of Iowa in 2015. Laura lives on an acreage with her husband, they have two children and four grandchildren.  Besides enjoying reading, Laura is a runner, loves to travel and garden and spend time with family. 

Joan Boudreau began at the library in 2016. Joan is the assistant librarian. Joan and her husband Ted are avid readers.

Melissa Miller began in 2016 and is our children's librarian. Melissa and her husband Ryan have two boys and live on an acreage.

Chloe Kaplan began in 2023 and is our substitute assistant librarian. Chloe and her husband Ben have a son and two daughters.
